Sephora Love at First Sight Eyelash Curler (Limited Edition)

So here's the thing. I've considered myself pretty fortunate to have lashes with a natural slight curl so I've never had any reason to mess around with scary eyelash curlers. But I keep getting a couple stick straight lashes that point downwards and try to blind me. For a couple years, I've been cutting them (bad, I know) so I decided to put down the scissors and try to fight this thing.

First of all, I have to admit that even if I didn't think I needed this curler, I'd probably still want it! Look at it! :-)  Not so scary looking, right? After all, its got hearts!

The Love at First Sight Eyelash Curler comes in a cute plastic case along with a travel sized mascara and 2 replacement pads. Perfect for Valentine's Day, the limited edition design features a completely red curler with tiny hearts on the back of it and comfortable silicone grips to line the 'finger holes'.

I haven't tried the mascara yet because I am saving it for a trip. The size is perfect to slip in a small cosmetic case to travel with or keep in your purse.

I'm still a newbie at curling my lashes and I really don't have much of a point of reference, but so far, I am liking this curler. I haven't squeezed my lids between it yet and it feels comfortable in my hand. Its a bit of an adjustment to my routine but I'm getting used to it.

I do have a little issue that since some of my lashes are naturally curled and some straight, the straight ones seem to drop a bit more during the day. I am told that waterproof mascara tends to hold the curl longer but I have not tried this with that as yet.

This Love at First Sight Lash Curler retails for $17 at Sephora. This particular design is available for a limited time but other colors are sold in the permanent collection.

Bottomline: I'm pretty sure I like this curler. As I said before, I'm still a newbie but it seems to do its job but I am still trying to find a way to make my lashes all point in the same direction. The packaging is adorable and the curler feels very comfortable in the hand. The silicone pads are thick and firm but have some give to them so they don't break the lashes. This would make a cute gift for Valentine's Day.

Overall, I give this curler a 4 out of 5.

Thanks for reading :-)
